We are spending our first spring in our new (to us) old house in the heart of Berlin, Md., and with all the demolition and construction we've being doing on the interior, it's been a treat to see the garden come to life outside! Here are a few of our discoveries so far...

New home, new #garden, new discoveries each morning this #Spring 😊 This AM, #tulips 🌷, which are a special treat since we couldn't grow them in the Pines due to the squirrels finding them especially tasty 💐

Losing track, but thinking this little #turtle may be number 12 in our inherited urban herd? @matthewamey discovered it this AM along with a much larger mature adult who emerged 🐢 #SoCute but #toomanyturtles 😳

Always enjoy visiting Longwood Gardens - from the Conservatory to the imaginative treehouses to the meandering trails lined with a kaleidoscope of color - it is a botanical masterpiece.

Last weekend was the first time I've experienced their fountains & fireworks show, and I can think of no better way to celebrate the 4th of July. Magical.

Stoked to see a beautiful old magnolia tree in bloom today while running across UD's campus to a meeting. Had to stop briefly to fully appreciate it and capture some quick pics ... such lovely flowers.
